2011 Winners & Finalists
Eight collaborations selected as finalists for the 2011 Collaboration Prize. Following a rigorous evaluation process, eight collaborations from 20 semifinalists have been chosen to continue on in the selection process for the $250,000 Prize. The winner of the 2011 Collaboration Prize will be announced in April and will receive $162,500. Each of the other finalists will receive $12,500. From 807 applications received, 90 collaborations were selected as quarterfinalists. These collaborations were selected from the pool of applications by La Piana Consulting for further review and scoring by the AIM Alliance. Each AIM Center utilized the same scoring criteria in determining those nominations that would move to the next step in the process. The selection process timeline has been updated and identifies upcoming key dates.
20 top scoring applications were selected as semifinalists. The 90 quarterfinalist collaborations were assessed by the AIM Alliance, La Piana Consulting and The Lodestar Foundation and 20 semifinalists were selected to continue in The Collaboration Prize selection process. The AIM Alliance is a collaboration among The Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation at Arizona State University, The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, and The Johnson Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at Grand Valley State University (Michigan) focused on addressing the needs of an evolving nonprofit sector.
La Piana Consulting is a national firm dedicated to strengthening nonprofits and foundations that has conducted research and written extensively on the topic of strategic partnerships and collaboration.
