• the extent to which the collaboration provides an inspiring example, motivating others in the nonprofit sector to believe that they can use collaboration as an effective strategy

• how well the collaboration works at all levels of the organization – among board members, between board and staff, and among and between management and staff;

• how successfully the collaboration has resolved challenges to formation and operation of the collaboration; and 

• the extent to which the collaboration has leveraged its assets for maximum impact.
