Ready, Set, Parent!
EPIC—Every Person Influences Children in collaboration with Baker Victory Services (BVS) has designed a comprehensive, hospital-based parent education program to provide education and supportive services to new parents, especially those who are overburdened by stressors that may place them at-risk of child abuse and neglect. Through university led research,Ready, Set, Parent! has documented impact on the development of cognitive, language, personal/social, and gross and fine motor domains, with 77.5% of participants’ children scoring above the national norms. This collaboration is a joint programming and administrative consolidation, saving valuable human and financial resources as well as eliminating duplication of services.
